Ever since I was a kid, I've been taking things apart just to see what makes them tick inside. Plus I have always had a love for music and lights. My first attempt at a light show was when I was a teenager. I made a disco ball out of a set of Christmas lights in a box and a fan to flicker the light through a peg board....LOL! I had the coolest bedroom on the block. I have put up Christmas lights around the house in the past, but always found them a bit boring. Then I saw my first sequenced Christmas light show. I thought - well that is just too cool!

 

I checked around the net and found that I could buy the electronic parts as a kit and build a light controller. I also needed a low powered output FM radio transmitter, thousands of lights, hundreds of feet of wire, music and a computer with special software to run the whole show. The software lets you program every second of music to sequence the lights off and on. That was it. I had to build one!
